Shekhar heads Strategy & Corporate Finance for Hero MotoCorp EMBU. He is an experienced Banker and Corporate Development professional. An alumnus from IIT Kharagpur, 2003 batch, Shekhar has worked with Ola Electric, Tata Motors, PwC, YES Bank and IndusInd Bank in roles spanning Business Development, P&L Management, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Strategic Alliances and Corporate Finance. Shekhar has extensive experience in the clean energy has been instrumental in financing one of the largest Clean Energy Portfolio (2.5 GwH+) with leading Global and Indian corporates. In addition, his work has actively covered companies across Technology, Mobility, Airports and other Infrastructure sectors. He has originated, structured and closed several marquee transactions in the space and managed one of the largest Infra book of ~USD 6 Bn in his last banking role.
At Ola Electric, Shekhar was Head of Corporate Development & Strategy, where he led several cross-border M&As transactions, Strategic Alliances for the businesses and also helped the group raise USD 1 Bn+ across Equity and Debt products from renowned global investors.
Consumer Tech, Industrial Tech, Clean Mobility, Clean Energy and Sustainable Finance are some of his areas of interest.
