
Mr. Ramkrishna Singh is a veteran power sector professional and change management expert with over 30 years +
of extensive experience with India’s largest private power utilities. His career has spanned a diverse range
of fields, including Commercial Operations, Engineering & Procurement, Project Management Consultancy, and the
development of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Currently, he is at the helm of Tata Power’s EV Charging business, serving as the Head of Business Operations,
where he is responsible for the strategy formulation, concept-to-commissioning, and operational oversight of
EV charging infrastructure across India. This includes developing charging solutions for the Home, Public,
Fleet, and Bus segments, along with the integration of digital platforms to enhance user experience.
Throughout his career, Mr. Singh has been a pivotal figure in transforming and managing power distribution
businesses, particularly in his roles at BRPL/BYPL and Tata Power-DDL. His change management efforts in these
organizations have led to significant operational improvements and set new standards in the industry. In
addition to his corporate achievements, Mr. Singh has made substantial contributions to the regulatory
framework of the power sector. He has been actively involved with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the
Central Electricity Authority (CEA), where he played a key role in formulating and amending Electronic Meter
standards and regulations. His work also extends to the development of Smart Meter/AMI standards, meter
protocol standardization, and the formulation of renewable and solar energy policies for regions like Delhi,
Punjab, and Goa.
