Mr. Vishnu Venugopalan is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, with a distinguished career spanning over a decade serving in key roles in the Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India. He currently serves as the MD & CEO of Guidance, the Government of Tamil Nadu’s Nodal Agency for Investment Promotion. Prior to heading Guidance, Mr. Vishnu served as the District Collector of Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu.
He has held the chair of Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi Division, Tirunelveli District, in his earlier days. He has also served as the Executive Director at Chennai Metro Water and was the Managing Director at TN Skill Mission and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) with the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.
He has to his credit, the National Award for ‘Best Electoral Practices - 2022’ from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and National Award for ‘Best Performing District (Tirunelveli) in Anti-Drug Abuse’ from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) - 2022. The Government of Tamil Nadu has also bestowed the prestigious Chief Minister’s ‘Good Governance Award - 2022’ for his work in public healthcare reducing maternal deaths.
